Nobody wants to have to wear bulky period pads which, let’s be honest, don’t always stay put when you’re on the move. Ever had a period pad stick to you when it has come apart from your panties? We can’t exactly say it’s the best feeling in the world. Or how about when a tampon has leaked during the night and stained your beloved bedsheets?
These are just some of the many reasons why period knickers and menstrual cups are such a game changer to anyone who menstruates.

I live in South West France with my family and am a teacher and reiki practitioner.
Heavy, debilitating periods during my teens and adult life have caused me so much inconvenience and stress, not to mention lost days of learning at school and then later on, work. Due to the sheer volume of my periods, I found tampons and pads too risky and unreliable as they just couldn’t cope with my heavy flow.
I would have the constant need to be close to a toilet on my heaviest days, which made me look unprofessional at work. I often opted to just stay at home as it was safer and avoided any embarrassment from frequent leaks. I can’t tell you how many bed sheets and towels I’ve ruined due to leaking tampons and pads which have moved during the night.
